Day 9: Cecilia in the Roman Canon

Day 9 closes the novena with Cecilia's place in the Roman Canon of the Mass.

Saint Cecilia's name is pronounced in every Mass celebrated with the Roman Canon. The Catholic Church has commemorated her in this central act of Eucharistic worship continuously since the fifth century at the latest.

Saint Cecilia, who are named at every Mass in the Roman Canon, intercede for me at my own death and may I join you in the eternal Catholic worship of the saints. Amen.
