The Saint Maximilian Kolbe Novena
Day 7: Suffering offered to the Immaculata
The seventh day attends to the Catholic doctrine of suffering united to Christ through Mary.
Marian suffering
Saint Maximilian taught that suffering, when offered to the Immaculata, becomes a Marian gift to Christ for the salvation of souls. His own life included chronic tuberculosis, the burdens of administration, and finally Auschwitz. He bore it all explicitly as a Marian offering.
Prayer
Saint Maximilian, you who offered your sufferings to the Immaculata, help me to do the same. Receive my own difficulties into your Marian school. Teach me to make them an offering rather than merely a burden. Amen.
Conclude with one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.
