A young heart drawn to God

From early childhood Rita desired the religious life. Her parents, in the custom of medieval Italian families, arranged her marriage anyway. The Catholic petitioner who feels their vocation has been thwarted has a witness in Rita.

Saint Rita, you who never lost your love of God despite the path you were given, obtain for me the grace to remain faithful in my own circumstances. Amen.
