Day 6: The kindness of the Lady

Day 6 attends to a small but significant detail of the Marian apparitions: the kindness with which Mary spoke to Bernadette.

Bernadette described the Lady as smiling, gentle, looking at her with affection. The Catholic Marian devotion is grounded not only in awe but in the reality of Mary's actual maternal kindness toward the petitioner.
