Day 2: Escape and return home

Day 2 attends to Patrick's miraculous escape from slavery.

The two-hundred-mile journey

After six years, Patrick heard the voice of God in a dream: 'Behold, your ship is ready.' He walked approximately two hundred miles to the coast, found a ship, persuaded the master to take him, and returned to Britain.

Prayer

Saint Patrick, you who heard God in dreams and walked toward freedom, help me to hear the same Lord in my own life. Amen.
