Day 3: Perseverance under burden

The third day attends to the moment in the legend when the Christ Child became heavier and heavier on Saint Christopher's shoulders mid-river.

The weight of duty

Duties grow heavier as we carry them. The petitioner who feels overwhelmed by family, work, or vocation has a model in Saint Christopher: not laying down the burden, but pressing on with it.

Prayer

Saint Christopher, give me strength to carry the burden that has become too heavy. Help me to finish the crossing. Amen.
